Blue Tansy, Fruity Essential Oil Uses and Benefits

Blue Tansy essential oil extracted through steam distilled process from yellow flowering blue tansy plant that also referred to as Moroccan Tansy. It is an annual yellow-flowered Mediterranean plant found in northern Morocco. Blue Tansy contains naturally occurring constituent Chamazulene, which provides the characteristic indigo color and is recognized for its skin cleansing benefits.

The above-ground flowers and stems of the blue tansy are gathered by laborers and steam-distilled. In the distillation process, chamazulene is released and turns deep blue, giving the oil the indigo to deep blue hue. Chamazulene changes in blue tansy plants over the season from May to November.

Ways To Uses Blue Tansy Essential Oil

You can use blue tansy in many creative ways including spraying, add in skin care or even diffuse it. Here how you can use the oil to the fullest.

Inhaled and Diffuse

Add 5 to 6 drops of blue tansy oil into diffuser and enjoy the fruity, floral and herbal scent for relaxation. The calming effect can ease the tension and put your stress away.

Topical Use

Dilute the oil first with carrier oil such as grapeseed oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil or sweet almond oil before applying to your skin. Most essential oil cause irritation and burning effect. Spray
